Ford Recalls 145,000 Vehicles

Approximately 145,000 vehicles will be recalled by Ford Motor Co. in order to fix the reported door latches. The perils of having such defective latches in a vehicle include the malfunctioning of the doors and the possibility that the drivetrain can cause fracture. Ford said that the side-door latch entertains the possibility of water intrusion. The latter condition can freeze the latch especially during winter or cold seasons. Aside from that, the door will no longer snugly fit the vehicle's body. As a result, the door might open in traffic.
